It feels appropriate.

Four of them will not go on to the championship. Who are we rooting for, who could you do without?

So Jogi is naming the preliminary squad

Since Bayern, Dortmund and Real Madrid aren’t done with their games, it’s an extended squad of 27. This’ll be interesting.

Goal:

  1. Manuel Neuer
  2. Mar-André ter Stegen
  3. Tim Wiese
  4. Ron-Robert Zieler

Defense:
  1. Holger Badstuber
  2. Jerome Boateng
  3. Benedikt Höwedes
  4. Mats Hummels
  5. Philip Lahm
  6. Per Mertesacker
  7. Marc Schmelzer

Midfield:
  1. Lars Bender
  2. Sven Bender
  3. Julian Draxler
  4. Mario Götze
  5. Ilkay Gündogan
  6. Sami Khedira
  7. Toni Kroos
  8. Thomas Müller
  9. Mesut Özil
  10. Lukas Podolski
  11. Marco Reus
  12. Andre Schürrle
  13. Bastian Schweinsteiger

And our offence:

  1. Mario Gomez
  2. Miroslav Klose
  3. Cacau

The biggest surprise is probably Draxler, although understandable. Now, what are your thoughts? Will these guys bring home the big one?

You know what? I’m freakin’ EXCITED about Group B. It’s gonna rock. Group A is a snooze-fest and I can live without Italy or Spain in the group stage, thankyouverymuch. Now we should start the funding for all those tissues Ronaldo is gonna need. Poor cry baby….

The line-up against the Ukraine

    Zieler

    Boateng, Hummels, Badstuber, Aogo

    Träsch, Khedira

    Götze, Kroos, Özil

    Gomez

Mario Gomez will be leading the team as the captain, while Philip Lahm is celebrating his birthday at home, watching the game

(I know I didn’t cover the game properly, but between my incredible slow internet-connection, stupid tumblr und my darling Bastian Schweinsteiger being out with an injury, I simply wasn’t inspired. It’ll get better, PROMISE.)
